I came across same instance of FOMU wikibase and then I realized both were outdated, so I updated the later as I could not merge them anyway and also was not sure (even if I could) if these should be merged as single Item in different incarnations or kept separate 
If they are separate instances, and the second version is a “fresh start” (as opposed to a continuation of the prior Wikibase), then it makes sense to keep them as separate items. Another example of this:
- Librarybase - Wikibase World (first generation; lost to history)
- Librarybase - Wikibase World (second and current generation)
