Activation email was in spam folder of GMail…so maybe domain is already blacklisted?

The domain can’t possibly be blacklisted because I only registered it a few days ago. It is possible the exotic “.world” TLD caused it to be indiscriminately sorted into spam. And it is not unusual for these kinds of confirmations to end up in spam folders.

I doubt that the .world subdomain is the issue here, as Gmail actually reports the message as being sent from Elastic Email using the email address james@scatter.red. Perhaps one of these details has caused it to be marked as spam.

For the record, Gmail also flagged it as spam for me, but interestingly it still showed up in my Inbox.

I’ve managed to narrow it down with the help of a second Gmail account - Gmail apparently doesn’t like emails coming from the Elastic Email service. Their help center has an article on avoiding the Spam folder that could be helpful for the admins.
